Made by John and Susan in the Cothi Valley
John spent decades in construction. Susan looks after the orders and the people who place them. Together they make furniture from reclaimed and sustainably sourced timber, working with local blacksmiths. Every piece is built to order, in the size and finish you choose, and no two are the same.

Why reclaimed timber?
We use reclaimed timber wherever we can: boards that have already worked for a living, thick and seasoned, made to take weight and weather.
Recycling timber means less new wood cut and less waste to landfill. It also means every piece has a bit of history in it.
When we can’t get enough, we use sustainably sourced timber instead, built to the size and finish you choose.

UK delivery is free within 10 working days.
Do you deliver internationally?
All orders placed outside of the United Kingdom will be subject to longer lead times and a delivery charge.

How do I change my order?
Please contact us as soon as possible by emailing hello@cothirustic.com. Everything is handmade to order, so we will do our best to accommodate this for you.
When messaging us, please provide your order name, order number, shipping postcode, and exactly what you would like to change.
How do I look after my furniture?
Dust with a soft, dry cloth, wipe up spills straight away and dry the wood, and don’t leave standing water on it, which can stain the wax. No harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat like an open fire or a radiator, which can fade, crack or distort the wood. Coasters under drinks and placemats under dishes help too.
Wood moves. It shrinks and swells a little with temperature and humidity, and it can show small surface splits. That’s normal. It doesn’t affect the strength or life of the piece, and we think it adds character.
Once a year, a coat of clear wax keeps the finish looking new. We use BRIWAX.
