About the Tywi Table
Named after the River Tywi (say TUH-wee), which the Cothi flows into.
One table, two jobs: a desk or a dining table, made to the length you need. 60 or 80cm wide and 80cm to two metres long, on slender hairpin legs or a steel frame in A, X or square, in six wax finishes. Reclaimed tops keep the nail holes and saw marks of their first life, so no two are alike.

What you’ll need

Place the planks on the floor, with the preferred top sides facing down, using a straight edge to align them.
- 2.
The planks are held together by a metal strip. The exact placement of these metal strips is up to you, but we’d recommend setting them at least 35cm in from each end of the plank.
- 3.
Measure the desired distance in from the end of each of the outer planks and mark with a pencil.
- 4.
Align one of the metal strips with these markings and drill pilot holes along the length of the strip.
- 5.
Screw the screws into each hole.
- 6.
Repeat steps 3 to 5 for the second metal strip on the other end.
- 7.
The leg placement is up to you, but make sure frame legs are parallel to the metal strips. For hairpin legs, we recommend 5cm in from the edge of the planks.
- 8.
Position the legs and drill pilot holes for each of the screw points.
- 9.
Screw the screws into each hole.
Delivery and care
Delivery is free to mainland UK within 10 working days. Furniture travels by DPD or Parcelforce, who will contact you with a delivery date and tracking number.
Arrives flat-packed to reach you safely, and usually takes 15 to 20 minutes to put together. We don’t pre-drill the holes for the legs, so you can set them up to suit your space, and all the screws you need are included.
Every piece is finished in BRIWAX, a blend of natural beeswax and carnauba wax that gives a durable, water-resistant surface. Everything is made to order, so the grain and colour of your piece will vary a little from the photos.
To care for it, wipe with a clean, dry, soft cloth, avoid harsh cleaning products, and don’t leave standing water on the wood. A coat of clear wax once a year keeps the finish looking new.
